Job PurposeAchieve assigned portfolio’s revenue target whilst supporting the overall country plan and commercial target by ensuring that the EK position in the spanet is protected. Source new business and maintain existing business, whilst ensuring to plan, manage and implement sales & spaneting activities within the assigned portfolio of corporates accounts and travel agencies within designated work areas.
Plan
- Recommend, develop promotional action plans focused on meeting EK revenue targets within account portfolio. Plan and execute relevant events with trade partners, including events that are part of Emirates’ global sponsorships portfolio.
- Participate and actively contribute to planning sessions by providing constructive feedback and customer trends and insights to help identify new opportunities and challenges and to ensure that the product range, pricing, promotion plans and sales strategies are well suited to the spanetplace.
Deploy
- Review and monitor sales strategies in the territory and provide recommendations to ensure EK is competitively positioned and remains the airline of choice for consumers.
- Co-ordinate the distribution of quality spaneting and promotional collateral and material.
Lead
- Work closely with supporting sales teams/business units to ensure that all business opportunities are exploited objectively and effectively.
- Gather and analyse competitor intelligence and spanet trends with action-based data to support management in refining sales and business strategies to ensure EK maintains a leading position in the spanet.
Execute
- Achieve / exceed revenue & passenger targets within the allocated area of work and support the growth objectives of the business.
- Execute and monitor incentive programmes with travel trade and corporate customers within guidelines established and ensure revenue targets are met.
- Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data with feedback and recommendations to the Sales Manager.
QualificationQualifications:
- 12 yrs schooling or equivalent
Experience
- 5+ yrs Sales experience in the Travel or Airline industry.
Knowledge/skills:
- Experience in the travel / Airline industry including 3 years in outdoor sales and spaneting capacity.
- Current experience and knowledge of travel trade distribution essential.
- Experience and knowledge of the Travel Trade and Corporate sector essential
- Strong Customer Service, presentation & Negotiation skills, a must.
- Computer Knowledge, i.e. Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must be adaptable and a strong team player with the ability to work under pressure
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be prepared to work after hours and weekends when needed.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
