Utility Helicopter Pilot

Aspen Helicopters is now accepting resumes for qualified pilots to fly a variety of assignments including utility/offshore/fire/and private + government charters and surveys.

• Aspen Helicopters based out of Oxnard CA is a multi-mission utility company that provides service to Government as well as private entities. Aspen Helicopters has been in business since 1980 and has built a reputation for safety and quality of service.
• Aspen Helicopters is now accepting resumes for qualified pilots to fly a variety of assignments including utility/offshore/fire/survey/government and private charter.
• This position is for a full-time pilot willing to relocate to Ventura County and willing to travel throughout the year in support of different contracts  
• Aspen owns, maintains and operates a fleet of Bell Helicopters: 206L3, 407, 212HP, 412EP which are used for daily flights, call when needed and exclusive use contracts. Aspen also owns, maintains and operates Partenavia/Vulcanair/Spartacus airplanes and a Merlin 3B. Should an applicant be dual rated with an AMEL they could potentially fly airplanes if desired.
• Pilots must live within approximately 45 minutes of Oxnard CA.

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Is versatile with previous fire, charter, or offshore experience preferred but will train the right candidate should they meet the qualifications listed below.
• This pilot must be able to represent the company favorably while working at the local Aspen Base or on the road.
• This pilot must be willing to fly a diverse set of missions year round.

• Commercial + IFR required
• Interagency “card-able”
• 1,500+ Total PIC Helicopter
• 250 hours Mountain (verifiable and defensible)
• 100 hours in helicopters in the last 12 months
• 100 hours Turbine
• 10 hours longline (desired)
• Be able to relocate to Ventura County and work a full-time schedule
• Offshore Time preferable
• Current Class 1 or 2 Medical
• Provide iPad compatible with the latest version of ForeFlight
• Pilot provides flight helmet compliant with US DOI regulations.
