Aircraft Painter in Aurora, OR- 1st shift paying $28/hr-$35/hrJob Description:Working in the paint shop area of an aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair, & Overhaul) operation, the Aircraft Painter is responsible for applying coatings onto aircraft parts such as rotor heads, transmissions, engine cases, fuel controls, and rotor blades. Occasionally, the interior or exteriors of heavy-lift helicopters will also be painted several times per year. The different coating types for these parts depend on the painters skill level and years of experience. This role supports the effective operation of heavy-lift helicopters, which provide firefighting, infrastructure, supply, aircraft rebuild, and other services for domestic and international customers. The primary materials used include epoxy and polyurethane paints, applied using HVLP paint guns.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals.
- Properly handle, mask, prepare for paint, and paint aircraft components and surfaces.
- Seal, prepare, mask, paint, and re-paint aircraft structure and structural repairs.
- Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records.
Essential Skills- 2+ years of painting industrial metal parts or vehicles/vehicle components.
- Experience in detailed masking, sanding, and HVLP painting.
- Experience using a computer ERP system or similar to track parts or processes.
- US Person per client ITAR regulation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in aerospace or aviation painting preferred.
- Detailed automotive painting experience acceptable.
- Previous experience painting aircraft highly preferred.

Work Environment
Work in the component division of an MRO facility, specifically in the paint area. The position offers a day shift schedule with options of 0800 - 1630 on 8-hour shifts or 0600 - 1630 on 4 x 10-hour shifts.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
