STS Aviation Services, a leading UK MRO, is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting an experienced Aircraft Painter to join our Manchester Hangar on a permanent basis. As an Aircraft Painter, you’ll be a vital part of our Manchester team, working in a fast-paced environment where your skills will directly contribute to the high standards of our aircraft maintenance services. Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: Prepare aircraft and components to prevent damage and ensure optimal surface finish and paint adherence.
Painting & Finishing: Perform paint stripping, cleaning, and surface preparation. Mix and apply primers, solvent-based, and water-based topcoats according to manufacturer specifications and structural repair manuals.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets the highest standards within the allocated timeframes, following Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Structural Repair Manual procedures.
Health & Safety: Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to achieve collective goals, ensuring clear communication and a cooperative work environment.

Requirements:

Trade Training: Evidence of formal trade training or apprenticeship in Aircraft Painting.
Technical Competence: Proficient in all aspects of exterior and interior refinishing, with a strong understanding of both solvent and water-based applications.
Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret technical drawings and implement requirements, producing high-standard work within specified timeframes.
Safety Focused: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following Health and Safety requisites.
Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
