Aircraft Painter - Ardmore, OK

Job Description:
Prepares and paints aircraft according to manufacturer and customer specifications
Perform other tasks as requested by the Paint Project Supervisor.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•
Minimum of four (4) years experience as an aviation paint technician working on commercial or corporate aircraft.
•
Able to use tools and equipment associated with the aircraft painting process.
•
Hands-on experience working with standard spray paint equipment such as electrostatic paint guns, cup guns, HVLP guns, etc.
•
Strong buffing and polishing skills of urethanes and acrylic clear coats.
•
Eye for precision and attention to details.
DESIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
•
Six 6 years experience in painting corporate aircraft or VIP jet aircraft.
• Design, layout and graphic experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
A&P Certificate or Airframe License preferred
Must be able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification and wear a respirator.
•
Ability to become certified on a forklift, scissor lift, etc.
•
Able to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends when necessary.
•
Current, valid Drivers License
