Parker Lord’s Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. We pride ourselves in differentiating from our competitors by providing high technology solutions and the highest quality products. Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
Position SummaryThe scope of this role is focused on the tooling in the Dayton facility. Including but not limited to: Assembly and machining fixtures, masks, transfer molds, and process fabrication tooling.
Essential Job Functions• Creating 3D CAD assemblies and drawings using AutoDesk Inventor software through guidance from the Tooling Engineer• Follows all Parker workflows and adhering to the Parker Tool Management Procedures, for AS9100 compliance.• Responsible for the process flow and release of designs into Enovia 3Dx PLM system.• Supports the culture of continuous improvement and the Parker WIN Strategy through a focus on waste elimination and use of Lean manufacturing methodologies. • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)• 2 years of manufacturing or machining experience.• Experience with Auto Desk Inventor or comparable CAD design software.• Positive attitude and willingness to learn. • A willingness to adhere to structured workflows and LWI’s.• A willingness to travel as needed to support the role.• Ability to manage multiple, fluid priorities and proactively address business demands in a fast-paced environment.• Strong organizational and planning skills and the demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects.• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information.• Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.• Understands and demonstrates comprehension of technical drawings and specifications.• Excellent oral and written communication skills when dealing with individuals across the organization and with external customers or vendors.• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications • Associate degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering or related discipline.• Experience using Enovia 3DX or similar PLM software.• Experience in Project Management.• Experience with SAP.• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
