Job Summary
DRS in Menomonee Falls, WI is looking for an expeirenced Tool & Die Maker to join our team!
What You Will Do
- Design, build, modify and repair – with occasional engineering assistance – tools, dies, jigs and fixtures
- Work with engineers in the design and development of various prototype parts and assemblies
- Make modifications to existing production parts when required
- Maintain records, develop and write calibration procedures and act as a gatekeeper for mechanical tools
- Consult with engineers and other maintenance personnel to affect repairs and modifications when necessary
- Coordinate workload with customers to insure on time deliver
- Possess the ability to direct others as necessary
- Perform other duties and assist in projects as directed by supervision
- Train other employees as required
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five or more years of journeyman experience as a Tool & Die Maker in an industrial tool room
- Must be a fully indenture Tool & Die Maker as defined in the State of Wisconsin Apprenticeship program
- Ability to work from informal plans
- Ability to work with a numerically controlled milling machine
- Ability to use precision measurement and inspection equipment and techniques as well as design tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and special machinery with little or no engineering assistance
- Ability to heat treat a variety of tool steels
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for up to 9 hours a day
- Walking, lifting, bending, stooping and kneeling
U.S. Citizenship required.
