Responsabilités :

• Effectuer la maintenance des aéronefs et de leurs composants.

• Réaliser toutes les activités de maintenance conformément aux normes de navigabilité applicables.

• S’assurer que tous les documents relatifs aux tâches assignées sont complets et exacts avant leur soumission.

• S’assurer que toutes les tâches de maintenance respectent les normes de navigabilité.

• Diagnostiquer les pannes des systèmes afin de déterminer les solutions de réparation.

• Participer aux réparations des éléments structuraux et d’avionique, au besoin.

• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les membres d’équipage pour assurer une disponibilité de l’appareil 7 jours sur 7, couvrant une plage d’opération de 12 heures par jour tout en maintenant les plus hauts standards en matière de sécurité aérienne.

• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de technicien, 3 au total, qui assure la disponibilité de l’appareil selon l’horaire mentionne ci-haut. En annexe, un exemple de l’horaire de travail qui offre l’avantage de bénéficier de bon nombre de temps libres et congés. L’horaire propose permet d’offrir les mêmes heures de travail et de période de congé a l’équipe.

Exigences :

• Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience pratique sur les hélicoptères. Expérience sur les modèles Bell 412 et ou 212 est un atout.

• Une vérification des antécédents judiciaires sera exigée dans le cadre des vérifications préalables à l’embauche.

• Licence M1/M2 de technicien de maintenance aéronautique (TMA) de Transports Canada en vigueur.

• Détenir un passeport canadien valide et un permis de conduire valide.

• Excellentes aptitudes en dépannage et en analyse, ainsi qu’un sens aigu de l’observation, une capacité de prise de décision et une excellente gestion du temps.

• Excellentes aptitudes à la communication et capacité à travailler efficacement de façon autonome et en équipe.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) – YMX

Location: Mirabel, Quebec, Canada

Position Overview:

As a certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be responsible for maintaining a Bell 412 helicopter that supports the new government helicopter air ambulance program. Summit Helicopters – Quebec Division is seeking responsible, dynamic, and professional candidates who want to be part of the team establishing the foundation of this new program. This is an immediate hiring opportunity, with operations scheduled to commence in September 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on aircraft and their components.

• Carry out all maintenance activities in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards.

• Ensure all documentation related to assigned tasks is complete and accurate before submission.

• Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with airworthiness requirements.

• Troubleshoot system failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.

• Assist with structural and avionics repairs as required.

• Work closely with flight crew members to ensure aircraft availability 7 days a week, supporting a 12-hour daily operational schedule while maintaining the highest aviation safety standards.

• Collaborate closely with the maintenance team (three AMEs in total) to ensure aircraft availability according to the schedule outlined above. A sample work schedule is attached, offering the benefit of significant time off and vacation periods. The proposed schedule is designed to provide equal working hours and time-off periods for all team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on helicopter maintenance experience. Experience on Bell 412 and/or Bell 212 helicopters is considered an asset.

• A criminal record check will be required as part of the pre-employment screening process.

• Valid Transport Canada AME M1/M2 licence.

• Valid Canadian passport and drivers licence.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail, decision-making ability, and time management skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
