Join our Secure Networks and Telecom Services team as a Summer Student and gain hands-on experience supporting critical infrastructure operations. In this role, you will assist with administrative tasks, maintain essential documentation, manage collaboration tools, and contribute to lab activities. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about network, cybersecurity, and telecom operations while developing practical skills in a dynamic environment.Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesDocumentation & Resource Management- Maintain and update technical documentation and online resources.
- Prepare and format documents for presentations, publications, and archiving.
- Organize project archives and assist with long-term storage processes.
Collaboration & Communication Support- Update and manage SharePoint and other internal collaboration platforms.
- Support the creation and distribution of electronic publications, reports, and communications.
- Convert and organize documents (e.g., PDF conversion, scanning) to support a paperless environment.
Technical & Lab Assistance- Assist with technology activities in Secure Networks team labs.
- Support enhancements to monitoring and alerting systems.

Desired Skills & Qualifications- Strong communication skills (English required).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with SharePoint Online or similar collaboration
- Familiarity with network and firewall equipment, command-line interfaces, GUI, automation, and scripting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Visio and Excel); knowledge of Power BI is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong writing and document formatting skills aligned with corporate standards.
Working Conditions- Full-time, onsite role (Monday to Friday) at the Technical System Centre (TSC) in Ottawa.
