• This job is a member of the Information Technology team within the Information Technology Division.
• This position is a senior technical role on a highly skilled and experienced team providing technical application design and leadership services.

• Oversees and contributes to the technical approach of application design
• Collaborates with developers to guide the architecture approach for the Functional and Technical Design; reviews, revises, and approves the content of these design documents
• Creates required documents to support technical application architecture, vision, strategy, standards, policies, and presentations
• Continually contributes technical input and responses in meetings and discussions in order to support the best application architecture
• Escalates technical issues when needed to keep project on track and minimize risk
• Creates, maintains, and communicates application architecture standards and procedures related to design, development, and other associated activities
• Reviews Business Requirements documents and where applicable, offers alternative best-practice solutions prior to start of design
• Reviews source code changes and/or unit test cases when applicable (i.e. where design, coding or project can involve high risk).
• Provides technical assistance and feedback, as needed, related to the M&E application and its architecture
• Consults and advises resources for related application architecture and infrastructure services and technologies
• Applies appropriate technology to reduce costs and/or improve productivity resulting in value to the company
• Maintains an effective approach on problem solving, multi-tasking, coordinating, and scheduling in accordance with stated goals to ensure visibility and predictability
• Influences and empowers team members for growth and independence
• Consistently demonstrates a positive, professional, leadership attitude and frame of mind when working with and communicating with others

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 8 years of development experience in COBOL, IMS DB/DC
• 5 years architectural and design experience

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

• Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 3 years of technical or team leadership experience
• Airline industry experience

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

• Proven ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, platform, AI, and operational partners
• Hands-on experience architecting and delivering AI‑enabled and cloud-native systems across hybrid computing environments, with proven capability in establishing conceptual strategy and technical direction
• Proficient in Agile, SDD (Spec‑Driven Development), and modern AI-augmented SDLC methodologies
• Proficient in application, data, integration, and AI architecture, including agentic workflow design, model integration, and API-first patterns
• Deep knowledge of event-driven architecture, cloud integration, and modernization from legacy IBM MQ/IIB/SOA to scalable, distributed platforms
• Significant experience in requirements analysis and specification development, with a strong understanding of AI-assisted development workflows, testing methodologies, and quality gates
• Experience leading technical architecture across complex, mission-critical operational domains with emphasis on resiliency, observability, and AI-enabled automation
• Ability to effectively lead and support modernization, change, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, AI-driven engineering environment
• Ability to manage large architecture workloads across multiple programs, AI workflows, technical initiatives, and ad‑hoc requests while maintaining high responsiveness and follow-through
• Strong understanding of enterprise application environments, integration ecosystems, and AI orchestration components—and how they interact within end-to-end implementation processes
