Salary Range: 42,000 - 54,000

As our Senior Scrum Master, you will support the increasing need to protect our national security through the development of products and solutions in an Agile environment. You will work on strategically important National Defence Programmes, accountable for the effectiveness of your teams. You will support the adoption and application of lean-agile practices, both within your teams and the wider organisation, through coaching, mentoring and facilitating.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a servant-leader and facilitator to support teams in the day-to-day operation of their lean-agile practices
  • Actively facilitate team events (e.g. Sprint Planning, Review and Retrospective) and supporting activities such as backlog refinement to ensure that the highest priority outcomes are achieved
  • Support the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals, including taking action to remove impediments where appropriate
  • Contribute to the identification of training and development needs, for the team as a whole and for individual team members as required
  • Support teams or individuals to improve performance and achieve goals through training, coaching and mentoring

We are looking for:

  • Practical experience of servant-leadership in agile teams
  • Thorough knowledge of agile principles, practices and methods, particularly Scrum
  • Excellent organisational and facilitation skills
  • Holds a recognised Scrum Master certification e.g. CSM, PSM I, SSM

Security clearance:

Due to the nature of our projects, you must be British Citizen for this clearance type.
