GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position assists the Quality department through the revision, distribution, and maintenance of manufacturing and quality documentation. This position generates department documents and report writing utilizing various computer software programs. This position will interface with other departments as well as customer representatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create and revise product and process related work instructions using various computer programs to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. (50).
- Review and summarize the Quality/Manufacturing related requirements as specified by customers.
- Create customer Material Review Board (MRB) documentation for submittal to customers.
- Review and release shipping documents for finished hardware.
- Perform Quality System and Process related audits.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans as a result of audits.
- Maintain and update the Customer Specification library as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in using computer software, including MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of PowerPoint and graphic software helpful.
- Knowledge of the Investing Casting process.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of basic auditing, root cause and corrective action principles.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills with ability to interact with co-workers and customers.
- Familiarity with Quality requirements such as ISO 9000:2000 and AS9100 as well as customer requirements preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Must meet background and substance abuse screening as required.
- Ability to complete projects correctly and on time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent, and an AA degree in Computer Science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years experience working in a titanium casting facility preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read reports and use computer. Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers. Ability to write, type, use telephone system, and operate office machines. Ability to climb stairs, stoop and reach to access department materials. Ability to exert up to thirty-five pounds of force to move objects.
