POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator supports the Planning and Logistics Supervisor and the Operations Planning Manager in gathering and coordinating the use of equipment, resources, and information to implement upcoming projects for the MLB Operations teams. Main duties include (i) maintaining work schedules, (ii) organizing and participating in meetings, (iii) ensuring the responsible for all the actions items are identified, (iv) the deadlines for the projects are met and (v) presenting the projects status to the Planning and Logistics Supervisor, the Operations Planning Manager and upper leadership, as requested.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements, if necessary.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise team goals and project schedules.
  • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
  • Evaluate potential problems and technical constraints and support the development of solutions in accordance with the available resources and due dates.
  • Coordinate project-related paperwork activities by ensuring all necessary materials and presentations are current, properly filed and stored.
  • Coordinate project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails.
  • Communicate with the other MLB Operations’ area, always in coordination with the Planning and Logistics Supervisor, to identify and define project opportunities, requirements, scope and objectives.
  • Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Generate and/or update doc.emb or working instructions.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree in a business-related field preferred

Experience:

  • Generally, 1-2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and the Embraer systems (including, but not limited to, the doc.emb system). Knowledge in SAP is a plus.
  • Good written and oral presentation and communication skills, in order to effectively communicate ideas, project targets and results to the Planning and Logistics Supervisor, the Operations Planning Manager and Senior Management (if required by direct leadership).
  • Critical thinking,
  • Analysis and evaluation capabilities, forecast capability, consistency, accuracy, attentiveness, assertive, deductive reasoning, discernment, mental flexibility, and
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills, cooperative, and team player.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, time management and organization skills; detailed oriented.
  • Knowledge in Project Management Software is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
