Morson are currently recruiting for Project Controller and Project Control Lead roles, to join to the team with our prestigious clinet BAE Systems at their site in Warton, these roles are onsite 4 days per week.
Job Description
Responsible for the overall project control delivery on behalf of nominated control account
Ensure Project Control System elements are delivered on time to the correct standards as doumented in the process standards
Provide informed advice on and manage the creation and operation of all project control mechanisms and processes such as Work Breakdown Structure, Organisational Breakdown Structure, Resource Breakdown Structure, control account structures, reporting hierarchies, levels of planning and planning horizons etc.
Undertake analysis of project performance against critical success criteria, identifying critical events and root causes of variance.
Maintain the integrity of the performance baseline by ensuring effective change control.
Implement and operate appropriate risk and opportunity management practices.
Continuously improve and develop the project control capability on the project/programme and provide advice at Line of Business level.
Provide technical guidance to the wider project/programme team on all aspects of project management

Knowledge:
Essential:
Experienced project controller with approximately 3-5 years of experience in the field
Microsoft Project – Proficient
Microsoft Excel - Proficient
Skills:

Cost Management / Cashflow forecasting, variance analysis and integrated reporting
Ability to pass knowledge on to other members of team
Qualifications:
• APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) – desirable or equivalent experience.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
