About Maestro
Maestro is SITA’s mission‑critical Departure Control System (DCS), enabling fast, resilient, and efficient passenger check‑in and boarding across 95+ airports worldwide. It streamlines airport and airline operations through integrations with weight & balance systems, baggage messaging, government vetting, and self‑service channels such as CUSS kiosks and mobile agents. Maestro is evolving rapidly toward a modern, cloud‑ready architecture that will define the next generation of passenger processing.
Role Purpose
As Product Owner for Maestro, you will maximize the business value delivered by our Agile Scrum Teams. You will combine strong technical and operational knowledge of airport systems with a deep understanding of customer workflows. Working closely with the Product Manager, you will help define, shape, and deliver the product vision and roadmap—ensuring Maestro continues to meet the evolving needs of airlines, airports, and ground handlers around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Deeply understand airport and airline operational challenges and the outcomes they expect from Maestro.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to refine Maestro’s product vision and long‑term roadmap.
- Own and manage the Product Backlog, ensuring it contains well‑defined Epics, Features, User Stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with roadmap priorities.
- Specify both functional and non‑functional requirements and set priorities that maximize customer and business value.
- Work daily with one or more Scrum Teams to clarify requirements, define sprint goals, and drive alignment on deliverables.
- Accept or reject completed work during sprints and at sprint reviews, ensuring only high‑quality, operationally ready features are delivered.
- Demonstrate new features to internal and external stakeholders, capturing structured feedback to guide future development.
- Run or participate in early‑access and customer design partnerships to validate concepts and reduce delivery risk.
- Support end‑to‑end product delivery, including readiness activities, documentation, deployment coordination, and customer adoption.
- Review and approve Statements of Work (SOWs) with regional teams ahead of customer presentations.
- Remain closely aligned and co‑located with Scrum Team(s) where possible to accelerate collaboration and decision‑making.
- Define release time‑boxes and MVP criteria for each release iteration.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Lead, or similar product‑driven role.
- Proven track record working with multiple Agile Scrum Teams.
- Hands‑on experience engaging directly with enterprise or B2B customers.
- Experience running or contributing to customer design partnership or early‑adopter programs.
- Background in the air transport, aviation, or mission‑critical operational systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with large, integrated systems (e.g., DCS, W&B, AODB, CUSS, or airport IT ecosystems) is a strong plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of operational systems, product lifecycle management, and complex integrations within airport or airline environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence across teams and geographies.
- Ability to balance technical detail with business priorities and real‑world customer needs.
- Strong backlog management, prioritization, and requirement‑definition skills.
- Familiarity with cloud transformation, modernization initiatives, and secure system design is an advantage.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Education & Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Other degree backgrounds considered where experience demonstrates equivalent capability.
- Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, APM, or other Agile/Product certifications are an advantage but not required.
