NC Programmer
24.78 - 33.24 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for NC and CMM Programmers with experience of details machining. We have multiple roles working on programmes for one of the most distinguished defence companies in the UK. You will translate design information in the form of CAD models, drawings, material and manufacturing process specifications into digital NC processes as part of the Manufacturing Engineering Process. We’re looking for engineers with experience in machining principles and using current CAD/CAM systems. This could also include metrology and robotics programming.
This role is a 12-month contract based full time site in Warton. We can pay a rate of 24.78 per hour PAYE or 33.24 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Requirements:
- Minimum of HNC or recognised apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering.
- Good knowledge and experience of basic manufacturing processes and Engineering principles.
- Engineering Toolset knowledge, CATIA V5, PLM (or equivalent Product Data Manager), SAP CAM, or SFM (Shop Floor Manager), CDP and VAS. CATIA V5 basic operation and multiaxis NC, Siemens NX Powermill and Powershape (Autodesk products) Simulation via CGTECH Vericut (V8), LK CAMIO Inspection or equivalent
- Experience of Geometric Dimensional Management & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- In Depth Knowledge of Machining / Fabrications detail manufacturing process.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of standard office IT packages.
- Sub Assembly engineering and manufacturing experience in the aerospace (or equivalent standard) industry would be beneficial .
- Engineering Degree or HNC/HND or recognised apprenticeship and significant experience in the aerospace (or equivalent standard) industry
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
