Job Title: Journeyman Electrician - NASA $36.12/HRJob Description
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will provide electrical installation and maintenance services to a wide variety of research test facilities that operate at a broad range of voltages. The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical installation and maintenance services.
- Work from detailed electrical schematics and prints.
- Bend electrical conduit and pull large and small gauge wiring.
- Install and modify electrical panels, raceways, enclosures, motor-driven equipment, motor meggering, lighting systems, and other associated electrical hardware and devices.
- Undergo future training to obtain a qualified operator status within a test facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical safety.
- Experience in voltage distribution, regulation, and high voltage systems.

Work Environment
The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance, and Engineering (TFOME) team at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities. During testing, which occurs 4 to 6 times a year, you must be open to working off-shift/second shift. You will receive advance notice of these shifts, which could include two weeks on days, two weeks on afternoons, and two weeks on nights. Shift differentials include a 7.5 increase for second shift and a 10 increase for third shift.
