IT Enterprise Technology team is responsible for Enterprise Technology Services at Delta Air Lines which includes Enterprise Architecture, Core Technologies, perpetuating a culture of agility, the Agile, API, DevOps, and enabling the Agile product teams with QE & SDET (S/W Developer in Test) skills. Interns may be assigned to assist in providing computer software development, business analysis, data analytics and/or technical support for IT operations in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis St. Paul, MN. You may support a variety of IT projects in a Business Analyst, Developer, Systems Engineer, or Data Analytic/BI type role which includes gathering requirements for development, design and testing of decision support systems or participation in the development, maintenance, enhancement and support of our software applications or infrastructure environments. Data analytics is used to create performance dashboards and service level agreements with various products.  Interns working in Developer roles are given an opportunity to utilize various methods and technologies such as Java/JEE, JSON, Spring, Angular, Agile/DevOps delivery, API, JavaScript, C++ on Linux, Python, REST, XML, web services, HTML, Oracle and expanding mobile technologies. Some roles / responsibilities will be non-technical.


What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

       Be able to commit to working the entire 13 week summer internship program (May 2025–August 2025)

       Be willing to work from the Atlanta or MSP office (as agreed upon during the interview). Most teams work a  partially onsite / partially remote (hybrid) work schedule with management approval.

       Have a 2.5 GPA or higher and have completed at least 2 years in a college program. Degree emphasis should be in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics/Operations Research, Business Management, or a related field

       Ideal candidates have strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skills and a good work ethic

       Be able to accept diverse people, thinking, and consistently make safety and security of self and others a priority

       Have an interest in solving complex problems and be willing to invest time and energy to overcome roadblocks 

       Possess an awareness of cloud technology, Software Dev Lifecycles, and/or PC hardware components and/or maintenance

       Be able to conduct yourself in a mature manner and be comfortable working in a business casual work attire environment

       Be interested in working for Delta Air Lines after graduation if presented with a full time job offer opportunity

       Have a passion for working on technologies such as Cloud computing, Mobile apps, Enterprise Web apps, APIs, Messaging, Databases, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence
