Job Description:


The IT Cybersecurity Architect role will provide architecture services on major systems technologies/environments, specifically from a perspective on cyber risk, working with cross-functional teams and other IT architects/specialists. This role will be responsible for determining “best value” systems and technology solutions by evaluating risk, business cost and benefits of corporate systems. This role will also assist in defining corporate standards and procedures through research and documentation of security best practices and recommended business procedures. Anyone in this position will be expected to remain current on latest developments in cybersecurity and technology through review of current technical literature and industry trends. This role will recommend business solutions that meet company and corporate objectives while following internal and regulatory security standards. Finally, anyone in this role will be expected to provide management with Information Technology reviews at the company and corporate level.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems
  • Maintain and develop processes for data modeling, ETL/ELT development, System Design
  • Contribute occasionally to workflow of tickets and assist with Sev 1, 2, and 3 ticket resolution
  • Resolve, contribute, and provide solutions for IT work requests
  • Train users in tools and processes according to IT policies and guidelines
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers for best practices and data engineering
  • Collaborate with IT analysts, developers, and system administrators
  • Plan and execute projects according to established milestones and schedules
  • Prepare project/program briefings to management and customers
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions that will co-exist with current environments
Job Requirements:

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

·       Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

·       Master’s degree in applicable field preferred

·       Minimum 7 years relevant experience working in Information Technology preferably focused on data engineering or architecture, business intelligence and analytics, or related areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced knowledge in:
    • Structured Query Language (SQL) especially within the MS SQL Server and Oracle environments
    • Linux OS and Windows Server OS
  • Familiar with software development lifecycle, including waterfall, agile, and DevOps methodologies
  • Must be adaptable, flexible, self-motivated, critical-thinking, and problem-solving  
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and balance time-sensitive obligations
