Job Summary

The HSE Advisor is responsible for managing environmental, health, safety, and property related compliance and programs within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports continuous improvement of the site Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems, and promotes a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Job Responsibilities

Manage incident response, investigation, and reporting for environmental, safety, and property related events, including near misses.
Develop, administer, and execute Environmental, Health and Safety training programs and ensure timely completion for all employees.
Maintain accurate records related to incidents, corrective actions, and training compliance.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental and occupational safety regulations, including ADEM, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
Prepare, manage, and submit regulatory compliance reporting, including but not limited to Tier II, TRI, and other required filings.
Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal levels on matters related to environmental compliance.
Maintain and continuously improve the site ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems, including audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
Support site leadership with risk assessments, compliance reviews, and Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives.

Job Requirements:

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in occupational safety, health, or environmental engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry 1910 Standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to self manage effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Strong influencing and communication capabilities across all levels of the organization.
Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements, with ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance if needed.
