OnsiteAs a Process Operator / Finishing Technician you will learn to perform functions directly related to chemical processing. They may apply protective chemicals to carbon aircraft brakes and use manufacturing equipment to secure hardware aircraft brakes. On the Job Training provided.
Collins is an industry leader in the research, development and production of Carbon brake components for the aerospace industry.
Shift: Our Operators love our 4 days on - 4 days off schedule, 6:00am - 6:00pm, rotating between day/night shift every 6 weeks.
+$2.25/hr shift differential paid on both days and night shifts.
The salary range for this role is $36,899.20 to $49,920 with an additional 16 hours/month in average of built-in overtime; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
What YOU will Learn and Do:
- Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures.
- Process monitoring and quality checks.
- Verify final assembled parts meet print.
- Observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Complete all training as assigned and, in the time, allotted.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- You will learn to be part of a team-oriented atmosphere and interact with other functional groups (e.g., engineering) on technical matters.
- You will gain the knowledge of all pertinent customer and company specifications including but not limited to international standards relating to finishes, special processes, & policies.
Training Provided:
- Big Joe
- Riveters both manual and automated
- Scales, calipers, micrometers
- Bar Code Scanning Equipment
- Various tools (mixes, hotplates, etc.)
- Automated Oxidation coating station
- Oxidation bake out Ovens.
- Power and pneumatic equipment.
Required Qualifications you must have: Education & Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED certification. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
- You must have the ability to work 4 days on/4 days off – 12-hour shifts, rotating days to nights every 6 weeks.
Skills we value:
- You will have the ability to recognize problems with any process equipment & notify chain of command when tolerance limits are approached to avoid making defective parts.
- You will have the ability to read drawings and operate per manufacturing procedures.
- You will have previous manufacturing experience.
- You will have the ability to prioritize tasks under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgment are required.
