Overview
Morson are exclusively recruiting for a Finaliser on behalf of our aerospace client Safran Actuation Systems (formerly Collins Aerospace) based in Wolverhampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-leading aerospace manufacturer, working within a highly regulated production environment where quality, precision and attention to detail are paramount. The successful candidate will be involved in the final stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring components meet the required standards before being released for the next stage of production.
Please note: Applicants must hold a minimum Level 1 qualification (please enquire if you are unsure whether your qualification is suitable). This qualification does not need to be in a specific discipline. Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment would be advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Capping and protecting finished components in line with production requirements.
- Carrying out final-stage assembly activities on manufactured aerospace components.
- Performing detailing and finishing work to precise engineering specifications.
- Marking and identifying parts in accordance with manufacturing instructions and quality standards.
- Conducting visual inspections to ensure products meet required quality and workmanship standards.
- Following engineering drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail when handling aerospace components.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health, safety and quality requirements.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly or engineering environment.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with small or precision-engineered components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow written instructions and work procedures accurately.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working a rotating shift pattern.
Pay & Benefits
Rotating Early and Late Shift Pattern
- 22.56 per hour PAYE
- Plus 3.28 per hour holiday pay
- Or choose to accrue holiday and receive payment during annual leave entitlement (25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays).
Shift Pattern
Week 1 – Earlies
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00 – 13:30
- Friday: 06:00 – 13:00
Week 2 – Lates
- Monday to Thursday: 13:15 – 21:00
- Friday: 13:00 – 19:00
