The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of airport building facilities. This includes elevators, conveyor systems, mechanical systems, lighting systems, communications/radio systems, air handling units, HVAC units, fire systems, and plumbing systems. The role may also involve working with PLC electronic systems, computer controls, and steel frame structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on building facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Work on elevators, conveyor systems, lighting, and communications systems.
• Handle air handling units, HVAC units, fire systems, and more.
• Ensure safe operations of high voltage and high amperage electrical systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting and repair of 110/220/480 volt single and multiphase electrical circuits.
• Work with PLC electronic systems and computer controls.
• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, in various weather conditions.

• Thorough knowledge of general building maintenance with an emphasis on electrical systems.
• Experience in industrial wiring and ability to read wiring schematics.
• Ability to make low and high voltage repairs to building electrical equipment.
• Journeyman electrical license is a plus.
• Experience in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• 24 months experience in at least three areas: Electrical, Structural, HVAC, Mechanical.
• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid, clean, applicable state drivers license required.
• Ability to climb, work from ladders, and walk for extended periods.

$10,000 sign-on bonus with competitive pay reaching up to $60.00 per hour at 8 years with the company. Enjoy yearly pay increases and a swing shift differential. Work Environment

Work inside and outside airport terminals, accommodating all shifts including weekends and holidays. Work schedules are determined by seniority and employees are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT).

This is a Permanent position based out of Sterling, VA.

The pay range for this position is $71802.00 - $71802.00/yr.
