Job Summary

The Enterprise Architect (EA) is a strategic individual contributor position responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of the organizations Enterprise IT Systems. This includes developing standards, maintaining documentation, auditing adherence to standards and collaborating across regions where appropriate. This role will drive the implementation of scalable and reliable software platforms and interfaces, ensuring data accessibility, integrity, and security across the enterprise. The role will collaborate closely with Director of Data Engineering, Technical Product Managers, and the Enterprise PMO. The role will report directly to the VP of Product and Application Development.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to define the enterprises strategic goals and objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. 
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement through the effective use of technology. 
  • Design and develop the overall IT architecture, including application, data, and technology architectures.
  • Create and maintain architecture models, standards, and guidelines. 
  • Ensure that the architecture supports scalability, security, and sustainability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to support business needs. 
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems and processes. 
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring they align with the architecture framework.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. 
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews and audits to ensure adherence to standards.

 

 

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience, knowledge and skills in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles, with a strong technical background.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide IT architecture.
Preferred Skills
  • Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration methodologies, with a focus on Microsoft solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, including experience collaborating with global teams.
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft data engineering technologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Microservices Architecture).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50 of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below the shoulder.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files, and documents up to 25 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • This position requires some travel; the Ideal candidate can travel for key meetings and at leadership requests. Travel ~20.
