Job Description:

Airbus Commercial is looking for a Modelling & Simulation engineer (m/f) to join our Aircraft control Design Office team based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing Aircraft Control Models & Simulations on all Airbus aircraft programs.  

You will be involved in the development and the integration of aircraft control models aiming at allowing verification activities of Aircraft Control products on various platforms.

Your challenges:

• Capture model & simulation needs evolutions from stakeholders. The main actors are Handling Qualities specialists, Control Laws designers, Aircraft Control Systems designers (including primary flight controls, hydraulics, actuators, high lift)

• Define and lead Aircraft Control models evolutions and consistency with users’ needs and program V&V strategy,

• Develop/update A/C control models and simulation applications according to the planning,

• Manage models integration & validation on the simulation platforms,

• Ensure representativity of Model & Simulation products

• Provide support & training to users

• Identify and launch improvement solutions on Model & Simulation products and also on our development framework

• Take into account continuous integration in modelling & simulation framework

• Ensure the implementation of methods & process is harmonized within the domain

• Liaise with the other domains involved in modelling and simulation,

• Manage relationships with internal (AIRBUS) and external stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers).

Your boarding pass:

• Aeronautical knowledge

•  Embedded systems

•  Aircraft Control

•  System engineering

• Simulation applications: development and support of system simulation applications and associated technologies.

• Knowledge of Matlab would be an advantage (not mandatory)

• Continuous Integration (DevOps, GIT, Jenkins, JIRA...)

• Negotiation level of English

• French would be a significant advantage for the role
