Position – Press Brake Operator II (Sheet Metal / Fabrication)
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications. This role requires strong experience with blueprint reading, machine setup, and precision forming, ensuring accuracy and consistency across production runs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines (CNC, hydraulic, or manual)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions for bend specifications
- Perform machine setup including tooling selection, material alignment, and programming (if applicable)
- Bend and form sheet metal parts to required tolerances
- Adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Perform deburring, cutting, or minor assembly as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Other duties as assigned

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3+ years of press brake operation experience required
- Experience setting up press brakes and working from blueprints required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience operating CNC, hydraulic, or manual press brake machines
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with machine setup, tooling, and bend sequence planning
- Ability to adjust for different materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Strong understanding of tolerances and quality control
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, and gauges
- Ability to ensure consistency across multiple part runs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment
- Ability to lift, stand, and work in various physical positions throughout the shift
