Job Description
Working closely with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Laboratory Manager you’ll become a key member of our team, responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience creating and formatting “Safe Systems of Work,” including Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments, who’s ready to support the ongoing review and continuous improvement of our manufacturing and Laboratory documents.
Typical Duties
Developing and maintaining safety documentation suites in accordance with Engineering and Business requirements to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
Refine process’s by reviewing SOP’s, identifying a common, best practice approach in the compilation of SOP’s, implement changes and submit for review by the relevant stakeholders.
Maintain engineering documentation contained in databases and forecast periodic reviews of documentation.
Assist in the compilation and development of Business Management System policies and procedures.
Assist with Continuous Improvement projects; provide support for statistical data gathering and recording
Support all aspects of Manufacture Engineering as required.
Support capital acquisition and engineering proposals, to achieve operational improvements and financial benefits, initiate engineering change control.
Knowledge
Previous knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Understanding of Laboratory processes and procedures would be advantageous.
Skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office is essential.
Understanding of manufacturing and Lab based process and procedures.
Ability to integrate and work as part of a multi-functional team.
Work well under pressure to meet deadlines
Qualifications
A National Engineering qualification or a time served apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline.
