Description:You will be a Manufacturing Engineer Associate for the PAC-3 canister program. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and providing engineering support to the production floor.

What You Will Be Doing


As the Manufacturing Engineer Associate, you will be responsible for translating hardware specifications into tooling and equipment designs, supporting the production floor, and driving continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
• Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo / Solid Works.
• Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
• Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and systems.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.


Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Demonstrated ability for basic problem solving.
• Entry level understanding of basic hand tools.
Desired Skills:
• Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, SolidWorks, or similar modeling software.
• Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment/tools used in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable of machine / tooling mechanical design.
• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Tolerance stack up.
• Basic knowledge of hand and/or power tools.
• Knowledgeable of engineering materials and methods.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex issues.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
