What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with mechanical systems and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with a diverse range of materials (i.e. aluminum alloys, stainless steel alloys, engineering polymers, composites, etc.).
- Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical data.
- Must be capable of applying statistical analysis techniques such as Design of Experiments, Optimization, Process Reliability, Hypothesis Testing and Regression Analysis.
- Experience with 3-D Modeling software (Uni-graphics, Solid Works, or Solid Edge) is required.
- Must have strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Experience within commercial aircraft seating (assembly) environment.
- Lean implementation with emphasis on standard work & line balancing.
- Experience establishing operational objectives and performance metrics.

- Normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination for keyboard operations is necessary approximately 70% of the time.
- Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
- Duties require typical bending, stooping, reaching, stretching, etc. with lifting typically limited to 10-20 lbs. maximum.
