Job Description
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines, including milling machines, lathes, turning centers, and horizontal mills. These machines are used for constructing aircraft interior parts, such as floor fittings, aluminum trims, counter tops, and various aluminum, stainless steel, and phenolic parts. You will adhere to engineering drawings, company, and customer specifications while performing your duties.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
- Document the materials and processes used to maintain traceability of the product.
- Operate CNC machines safely, including loading programs, executing program cutting, and securing raw stock.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure proper program performance.
- Provide feedback to supervisors and programmers about program and tooling performance.
- Verify the accuracy of parts using calipers, micrometers, and other metrology equipment.
- Maintain the machines proper working order and cleanliness.
- Properly maintain coolant levels and clean machines as necessary.
Essential Skills
- Familiarity with the basic operation of CNC machines.
- Understanding or ability to learn G and M code.
- Ability to read and write English at a necessary level for successful job performance.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Entry-level position with little to no experience required.
- Ability to conduct routine tasks as directed with close supervision.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
