CNC Operator PositionJob Description
Interpreting written instructions and specifications, planning and laying out of work, using a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments, setting up and operating standard machine tools.
Will be responsible for the shaping of metal parts to close tolerances, making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds of machining; knowledge of the working properties of the common metals, selecting standard materials, parts, and equipment required for this work; and fitting and assembling parts into mechanical equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 years of experience required.
- Familiarity with materials such as Aluminum and Heavy Steel.
- Comfortable working on new machines.
- Operate CNC mill to produce parts.
- Inspect finished parts using basic hand tools.
- Perform light deburring on completed parts.
- Present finished products to QA for approval.
- Interpret written instructions and specifications.
- Plan and lay out work using machinists hand tools.
- Set up and operate standard machine tools.
- Shape metal parts to close tolerances.
- Make standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Select standard materials, parts, and equipment for work.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Winchester, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
