Job Title: Production Assembly Technician
Job DescriptionThe Production Assembly Technician is responsible for fabricating Barrier Filters and Aero structures for commercial and military rotorcraft, ensuring engine protection from unscheduled maintenance or replacement. The role requires technical and mechanical skills to perform tasks such as close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, rivet installation, trimming, and assembly, while using micrometers, rulers, and calipers for in-process self-inspections.
Responsibilities
- Build Engine Inlet Air Filtration Systems for rotorcraft.
- Maintain an acceptable level of attendance as measured by the Attendance Policy.
- Install and remove universal and flush head rivets, hi-loks, cherry-max fasteners, hi-shear fasteners, and platenuts.
- Work with and around a variety of chemicals, adhering to standards regarding PPE.
- Interpret engineering drawings and other documents to ensure proper build completion.
- Effectively document job completion paperwork.
- Use protective equipment as required.
- Build sheetmetal sub-assemblies to specifications for CH-53K and UH-60s, plus some low volume parts.
- Select and use appropriate tools, including hand tools and power tools like a pneumatic squeeze and battery-operated drill.
Essential Skills- Ability to perform rivet installation.
- Experience in reading blueprints.
- Drilling experience.
- Heavy mechanical assembly skills.
- Entry-level to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Recent military separation is advantageous.
- Recent tech school graduates are encouraged.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Environment
Candidates must be open to working Monday to Friday, with a 4-day, 10-hour shift either from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, starting at either 5 AM or 6 AM. Expect a significant amount of voluntary and mandatory overtime in the coming months, potentially exceeding 50 hours per week. Work in a climate-controlled, low volume assembly environment in a small shop, primarily a sit-down job at a bench.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
