As Vice President Gerrys dnata, Pakistan, you will lead the overall management of the joint venture Gerrys dnata, with full accountability for safety, operational performance, financial delivery, governance, and strategic execution across ground handling and cargo operations. Reporting directly to the the Board of Directors, you will serve as the most senior executive leader in‑country, representing the business with regulators, customers, airport authorities, government stakeholders, and dnata Group leadership.
You will provide clear strategic direction and visible leadership to a large, multi‑disciplinary organisation, ensuring the business operates safely, compliantly, and profitably while delivering strong customer outcomes and a people‑centred culture fully aligned to dnata’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
In this role, you will
- Lead the overall management of the business, with full accountability for safety, operational performance, financial delivery, governance, and strategic execution.
- Develop and implement the local business strategy in line with Board and dnata Group objectives, preparing and presenting a rolling three‑year strategic plan.
- Hold full P&L accountability, including revenue, profitability, labour costs, OPEX, cash flow, and protection of Company assets.
- Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, and report monthly financial and operational performance to dnata HQ and the Board.
- Ensure safe, secure, compliant, and customer‑focused ground handling and cargo operations, aligned with regulatory, customer, and dnata standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and practices to enhance efficiency, performance, and service quality.
- Ensure all Board and joint‑venture partner directives are implemented in line with approved delegations and local legal frameworks.
- Lead risk assessment and due diligence for investments and strategic decisions, advising the Board on risk and return.
- Provide visible leadership to the executive team, fostering a professional, accountable, and high‑performance culture.
- Set clear performance objectives for direct reports and partner with HR on talent development, succession planning, and reward frameworks.
- Champion dnata’s Vision, Mission, and Values, role‑modelling expected behaviours across all people and leadership practices.
- Serve as the senior representative of the Company with customers, regulators, airport authorities, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.
QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Master’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
You’ll have an edge if you have
- Proven executive‑level leadership experience within airport operations, ground handling, cargo, or complex logistics environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of delivering financial performance and operational improvement.
- Experience operating in joint‑venture or board‑governed environments, with confidence engaging at Board and senior stakeholder level.
- Deep understanding of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and operating within highly regulated environments.
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary and culturally diverse teams through change.
