Job Description:
To lead frontline leaders, engineers and technicians from three different sites/cities within Celma´s Test Cell (TC) operations. Lead and support projects for keeping/increasing capacity and competitiveness. Ensure TC team work prioritizes Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Keep close attention and participation in SAF tendency/studies for this region. Create an environment of respectful workplace where people feel comfortable to work and report any concern they may have. The role has considerable level of autonomy, requiring significant capacity of strategic thinking and operational judgment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach TC frontline leaders and engineering from three sites/cities.
  • Responsible for TC operational results, targeting SQDC excellence.
  • Ensure a respectful workplace and equal opportunities among people.
  • Define and operationalize TC strategy, aiming test capacity for supporting Celma growth.
  • Drive actions to improve test FTY in order to assure optimum quality and productivity.
  • Drive Lean by example, as a daily language and basic standard in all levels of operations.
  • Use judgment to make decisions and solve complex tasks in areas of operational management, manufacturing, technology, and engineering. Take new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
  • Work close to internal and external maintenance team for keeping TC running.
  • Provide technicians qualification for supporting the volume/growth as well as engineering knowledge transfer.
  • Work with TC leadership around the system – TC best practices sharing forum.
  • Provide support to customers request.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires experience in the aviation services business and previous leadership/management role in this area.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university.
  • Fluent Portuguese and English.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
