Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Engagement and Change

This role is critical to enabling WestJet’s transformation by strengthening enterprise wide change capabilities, supporting behaviours that shape desired culture, and ensuring WestJetters and guests remain at the forefront of strategy, execution, and long term success. This multi-disciplined candidate will enable a people centred approach to organizational change that strengthens readiness, capability, and alignment from the inside out. With an emphasis on internal experience and engagement, this role will embed consistent, enterprise-wide capabilities that allow WestJet to rapidly adapt, deliver business strategy, and support WestJetters through transformation. Through strategic influence and partnership, you will position change as a core organizational capability, that allow our desired culture to take root and thrive, contributing to our sustained future success.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership & Vision


o    Shape, socialize, and embed practical, enterprise‑level change disciplines that strengthen organizational readiness, behavioural adoption, and transformation effectiveness.
o    Partner closely with Communications & Engagement and People & Culture leadership to align enterprise change strategy, messaging, and expectations across audiences and channels.
o    Reinforce the connection between change behaviours, WestJetter experience, and delivering on WestJet’s transformation roadmap.

Program Design, Implementation & Governance


o    Lead a pragmatic approach to enterprise-wide frameworks and methodologies that support organizational change.  
o    Work with accountable teams and leaders on change capabilities across the organization; partnering with change champion/influencers to drive adoption. 
o    Establish and operationalize governance, stakeholder mapping, success measures, and feedback loops.

Leadership Enablement & Culture Building

o    Work with executives and senior leaders to be active sponsors and communicators for strategic change; equip people leaders at all levels with tools to cascade, translate, and sustain change locally. 
o    Partner with People leadership team to embed change as a leadership capability
o    Facilitate executive and peer forums, roundtables, and workshops to share insights, develop competencies, and reinforce WestJet’s desired culture.

Enterprise Change Support & Advisory


o    Provide expert guidance and support on complex transformational initiatives.
o    Integrate change leadership and thinking into organizational programs that impact our people, their experiences and engagement.
o    Participate in the design and oversight of an internal review panel, tasked with looking at enterprise decision through an employee lens. 
o    Advise cross-functional and business unit leaders on managing resistance, mitigating risks, and driving organizational resilience. 

Measurement, Continuous Improvement & Storytelling


o    Develop KPIs and dashboards to track adoption, engagement, sustainment, and business outcomes of change. 
o    Collect and share success stories, lessons learned, and organizational insights to foster continuous learning and engagement. 
 

Qualifications & Experience


•    10+ years’ experience in organizational change management, program management, or related fields, preferably in large, complex organizations. 
•    Proven success leading enterprise-wide change, designing frameworks, and enabling executive sponsorship.
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Communications, organizational psychology, or a related discipline.
•    Strong business acumen, consulting skills, and ability to influence at all levels, including leadership.
•    Deep understanding of organizational design, talent management, workforce strategies, and performance measurement.
•    Experienced in communications planning, leadership enablement, and fostering sustained engagement and cultural resilience.
 •    Strategic, systems thinking and strong program design skills. 
•    Relationship‑based influence skills, with the ability to build trust and shape decisions.
•    Ability to navigate, prioritize, and align cross‑functional needs for enterprise‑wide outcomes.
•    Strong measurement and continuous improvement mindset.
•    Coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement expertise.
•    Enterprise communications and storytelling capability.
•    Proficiency in change management, project management, and risk mitigation.
