Senior Machine Operator - 1st Shift (Full Time)

Responsible for assisting the Supervisor in the production of high-quality Machined aircraft parts following
Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or
exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve
company goals.
Essential Job Functions: Performs or assists the Supervisor in the following tasks:
Maintaining the departments compliance with Piper QAM/QIM and FAA requirements.
Fabricate aircraft parts using manual machines such as rollers, stretch presses, hydraulic presses, etc.
Manufacture aircraft parts using manual machines such as lathes, mills, drill presses, deburr machine,
bead and flare machine, band saws, wash, I.D. and rollers
Inspect and buying off own and completing first part inspection for Teammates work using Piper
inspection certifications.
Serves as lead with the ability to guide and willingness to receive and share practical knowledge, train,
cross-train and mentor teammates within career path to perform necessary job functions and requirements
in order to attain satisfactory levels of performance and production effectivity.
Adhere, maintain, assist and train teammates within career path to all departmental compliance
requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned
programs.
Perform audits of areas within the department as required to maintain compliance with all FAA and Piper
operational requirements. Initiate related operational process or procedural corrective action, or request
additional assistance from leadership or other support teams where necessary.
Perform duties of lower graded position within Career Path and other duties as assigned by supervision.

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successful completion Machine Operation program or 2 years experience preferred
Related machine operation Requirements:
o Machine Operator I: 2 years of experience
o Machine Operator II: 2 5 years of experience
o Senior Machine Operator: 5 years of experience
Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Use of hand and power tools as required
Follow all safety procedures
Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Adhere to Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions.
Physical Demands
Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish
tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate job specific equipment.
Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 35
lbs. Other physical requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above,
out, and below.

Working Conditions
Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works primarily inside and may occasionally work
outdoors. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving
equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community
members and regulatory agency representatives.
