The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Contract Management Specialist to join our Spectrolab Finance team at our Sylmar, CA location in the Greater Los Angeles area. Spectrolab is a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing.
This Contract Management position is a key member of the team and is responsible for leading various contracting actions to include tasks such as developing and negotiating complex, timely and quality proposals and performing contract administration on existing programs. This role will develop and maintain effective working relationships with United States Government (USG) customers and international and domestic commercial customer counterparts.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads Spectrolab Contract Management
Leads the development of contractual documents and negotiations in accordance with company processes, procedures and government regulations for new business proposals and existing programs
Interfaces with Leaders at all levels of the Enterprise and with USG customers and external foreign and domestic commercial customers on a regular basis providing contract interpretations/determinations
Makes firm commitments on behalf of the Enterprise within established Delegation of Authority with Customers for various transactions
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with USG customers and foreign and domestic commercial customer counterparts
Develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
Creates Pro-forma contractual documents for product lines and individual customers
Identifies contractual and financial risks and develop ways to mitigate risks
Operates and practices with a professional level of discretion
Drafts, reviews and negotiates Proprietary Information Agreements or other Non-Sales Agreements necessary to meet organizational objectives and protect the intellectual and proprietary property of Spectrolab and its customers
Provides contracts guidance for the program/ business management teams
Coordinates flow-down and flow-up of prime terms and conditions with Supplier Management
Ensures compliance with business commitments, company policies, and government laws and regulations
Prepares Company Funds Requests and obtain required management approval
Acts as focal for audits as required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
5+ years of experience with contract management
5+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
3+ years of experience working with cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with commercial, government and international contracts
Experience providing guidance to all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
Comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types Firm fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Cost plus incentive fee, Time & Material (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, etc.) and their proper use
Strong organization skills and high attention to detail

Summary pay range: $130,050 - $175,950
