Morson Edge is supporting the recruitment of a Survival Equipment Supervisor to support military aviation operations at Leuchars Station, Fife.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Survival Equipment professional to take the next step into a leadership role, overseeing the maintenance, repair, and issue of critical aircrew survival equipment. Working within a highly regulated military aviation environment, you’ll help ensure aircraft are fully supported and aircrew are equipped safely and efficiently for every task.
Whether you’re already supervising or looking to progress from a hands-on Survival Equipment role, this position offers the opportunity to mentor others while remaining closely involved in day-to-day operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will lead the delivery of Survival Equipment maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest engineering standards.
You will oversee the maintenance, repair, fitting, and issue of RAF and company-owned Survival Equipment and Aircrew Assemblies, while supporting investigations, aircraft operations, and the ongoing development of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance, repair, inspection, and fitting of Survival Equipment and Aircrew Assemblies

Supervise day-to-day workshop activities and support operational priorities

Ensure all Survival Equipment is issued and fitted in accordance with customer requirements

Support Survival Equipment investigations and technical queries

Assist with aircraft ground movements and flight line operations when required

Mentor and develop new members of the team

Maintain compliance with aviation quality, safety, and regulatory procedures

Build strong working relationships with RAF personnel and internal stakeholders

Promote safe working practices and continuous improvement
Requirements
Essential Experience
-
Previous experience within an Aircraft Survival Equipment or Safety Equipment environment

Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting colleagues

Strong understanding of maintenance standards and safety procedures

Ability to work effectively within a regulated aviation environment
-
Good communication and organisational skills
Previous supervisory experience is welcomed but not essential.

The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) Security Clearance.
