ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.

ACET is seeking a C-26 Quality Assurance Manager in our California, MD location.

This position serves as a focal point for the Contractor’s Program Office for all quality assurance activities.  

Responsibilities:

  • Works with Government and Contractor Senior Management to maintain Quality Assurance and safety programs, including policies, processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Ensures Contract performance conforms to established standards and Government Agency guidelines.
  • Manages/Supervises Contractor Aircraft Quality Control Inspectors and Inspection (Quality) Department including inspection requirements, trend analysis, technical order publication library, maintenance training programs, and functional check flight programs.
  • Prepares/Manages/Audits QA/Safety/Hazardous material programs required by government/service/base regulations and instructions.
  • Provides timely responses and corrective actions to customer concerns and findings.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and disseminates safety-related bulletins, technical changes, and literature to worksite Personnel.
  • Travel to all sites including OCONUS as required for routine checks and meetings.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years experience in aviation and 5 years performing responsibilities as a Quality Assurance.
    • Eight years shall be in managing complex, turbine-powered, fixed-wing aircraft, including airframe modifications.
    • Five of the eight must be with the C-26D or similar aircraft
  • Shall have at least five years experience as a quality assurance supervisor in an FAA FAR Part 145 repair station and three years of FAR Part 91, 135, and/or 145 shop management experience.
  • Shall be familiar with Navy Maintenance Management Processes and shall have worked on other similar programs. 
  • Shall be familiar with the scope of the PWS and possess a Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant (FAA A&P) License and current Inspection Authorization (IA).
  • Must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of quality management concepts, techniques, tools, and procedures.
  • Involved in the development of the site policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of DCMAINST 8210.1_series.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, including working overhead. The position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line.
  • Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
  • If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
  • If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
  • Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc. 
  • Travel may be required.
