Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily operations in the areas of machining, welding, stripping, quality assurance, and cleaning within an aviation manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with aviation industry standards, safety regulations, and production schedules, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations on the shop floor, including machining, welding, chemical/mechanical stripping, and component cleaning.
- Serve as the production expediter by aligning area leads with customer service and purchasing requirements.
- Conduct daily production meetings with area leads to ensure alignment across all departments and maintain clear communication on priorities and progress.
- Ensure all production activities comply with aviation quality standards and regulatory requirements, including AS9100, FAA, and EASA.
- Manage workflow by monitoring each stage of the process, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring each work area is properly staffed and supported.
- Continuously monitor and improve work center and personnel productivity and efficiency.
- Enforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols—particularly those related to chemical use and welding fume exposure.
- Provide leadership and mentorship across the production team, with direct supervisory responsibility for area leads and a supportive role in developing all team members.
- Maintain accurate records of production activity, inspections, and quality logs.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales and Purchasing teams to ensure timely availability of parts and materials to support uninterrupted production flow.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory role; aviation/aerospace industry strongly preferred.
- Proven experience with machining and welding operations, including knowledge of materials (aluminum, titanium, etc.).
- Familiarity with chemical/mechanical stripping processes and precision cleaning for aviation parts.
- Solid understanding of aviation compliance requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and process specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in Welding, Machining, or Manufacturing preferred.
- Highly motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Data entry skills and computer literacy.
- Must pass FAA/DOT Pre-Employment drug test and background screen, also will be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment
This is a full-time position -- Monday through Friday, with working hours ranging from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, and reaching. You may need to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and will be exposed to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature variations. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are necessary, along with eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
