Now is an exciting time to be part of Deltas Reservations Experience Design, Technology, and Innovation team as we redefine customer and employee experiences by setting new technology standards. This is an opportunity to help drive vision by bringing new corporate initiatives to life in our Customer Engagement Centers. Deltas Reservations Experience Design, Technology and Innovation team is seeking a Product Manager to assist in leading automation product development for the division. The primary function is to leverage data, specialists feedback, analytics, and corporate initiatives to prioritize, create, and implement new products and features that drive revenue, personalized customer experience, and seamless servicing of customers. This includes working to create tools and implement automation to increase efficiency and eliminate low-value work. Success in this role will be measured across multiple dimensions including customer and specialist and improved efficiencies within the technology ecosystem.
Overview & key responsibilities:
Lead one or more strategic product initiatives, including the development of strategies, detailed plans and measurable outcomes, cross-divisional coordination, and any analysis or research needed to define strategy and quantify results. Successful candidates will have a strong instinct for customer and employee experience, be creative thinkers, and apply strong judgment and decision making skills to set direction, prioritize effectively, and move the product forward, while being proactive and anticipating change
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
  • Responsible for end-to-end automation product management duties including understanding the business problem, identifying specialist needs, developing optimal solutions, and leading business readiness and change management processes.
  • Translate and communicate business needs and product development goals into clear requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Coordinate automation product development and backlog with IT teams.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration to align solutions with business needs and drive AI adoption and operational excellence.
  • Responsible for business ownership of ongoing product maintenance and related incident tracking and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains relationships with vendors for product services, issues, and enhancements.
  • Provide regular status reports to key stakeholders, sponsors, project managers, and others involved in the project.
  • Ongoing field engagement to gather customer and specialists feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Mentor team members on product management, ownership and agile best practice.
  • Champion agile methodologies within the squad, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize tools like Agility and Aha! for effective project management and ensure data hygiene to track progress accurately.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Experienced Product Owner with a strong track record of delivering impactful AI solutions.
  • Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into a logical and actionable story
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT development processes including Agile, Scrum
  • Willingness to become the subject matter expert for your product and take ownership for developing and maturing the platform and its performance.
  • Experience mapping end to end customer and/or employee journeys to identify automation opportunities and friction points - Ability to translate journey pain points into actionable product requirements
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications and able to produce concise, relevant, strategic documents and executive presentations and ability to influence outcomes and stakeholders
  • Connects a business issue with the appropriate data sources to create a compelling story promoting positive and meaningful change
  • Must demonstrate initiative and self-direct work with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Curious mindset, willing to ask “why” until root causes of use cases are identified.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Familiarity with AI assisted automation (decisioning, NLP, intelligent routing, copilots)
  • Agile Product Management training and experience.
  • Experience defining and tracking automation value metrics (e.g., hours saved, cost avoidance, error reduction)
  • Experience with Agility/VersionOne or Jira. 
  • Experience with internal and external facing channels.
  • Ability to understand and extract process related data
  • Working knowledge with EXCEL or SQL
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft PowerApps and/or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) ecosystem of tools and ability to use or obtain training for low-code capabilities, integration, and orchestration of RPA features.
  • Experience in programming and software development Proficiency in MS applications highly preferred
