Let your career take flight by joining our diverse and vibrant team at the leading edge of passenger aviation.The Marketing Communications Manager is part of a customer-centric communications team that leads the development of reputation and brand building content that supports Air Canada’s Flight Path, delivers brand reputation and aligns with our focus on elevated customer experience. The Marketing Communications Manager is a strong communicator who works with the full range of resources and internal and agency partners to develop and deploy communications strategies, plans and campaigns that build brand preference through earned, paid and owned media coverage. This role is a key contributor to the delivery of content aligned with the tone and voice brand expression framework, working independently and collaboratively with partners craft messaging and key positioning with a strong understanding of the target audience, brand expressiveness and tone and manner traits. Responsibilities: 

    Work closely with information owners and subject matter experts to become sufficiently familiar with assigned product and service briefings Seek consensus and alignment: ensure key decision makers and stakeholders are informed and aligned with the communication plans Manage projects and initiatives to support external communication and reputation needs for different business units and functions, including Aeroplan and Air Canada product teams Identify and prioritize appropriate communications channels for overall delivery of strategic plan (email, releases, social media, etc) Manage deployment on strategic initiatives: working with teams responsible for message delivery, including Corporate Communications, eCommerce and Marketing Operations and ensure deployment is timely, accurate, and successful Interpret, gain and communicate consumer and competitor driven insights for strategic planning and messaging development that are data driven and contribute to continuous improvement Manage multiple projects concurrently from concept to completion Provide quality control via editorial review of content developed to ensure brand voice consistency Monitor, review and report on campaign activities and results. Manage agency and contract resources as required to complete projects on time and on budget  Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop media materials inclusive of press releases, key messages, Q&A documents, social posts and pitches  Participate in strategic planning and brainstorming sessions Coordinate the production of multimedia needed to support media outreach Create data-driven reporting to identify actionable insights and coverage drivers that can inform communication strategies and support strategic decision-making Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications

    University/College degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience; Experience working with travel trade and industry and lifestyle media, with a focus on digital and broadcast media Attention to detail with strong editing skills Strong communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to build communication plans Proven organizational and prioritization skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills, team player, and ability to work with various client levels Ability to multi-task while at the same time never sacrificing quality; Comfortable working independently with minimum supervision, and within a team environment assisting colleagues whenever possible Flexible and willing to work extended hours as required. Thrives in a high-volume, agile, and fast-paced environment  Professionalism, good judgment for work on projects touching all levels of the organization, including with executives 
Assets 

    Understanding of and/or experience in airline industry (passenger environment, sales and spaneting structures, methodologies, overall objectives and strategies Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word, PowerPoint and Excel  Bilingualism (English and French) Experience working with Cision, MRP, and other media monitoring and analytic tools Brand or agency experience
