How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Manager – Contracts will lead the drafting, development, negotiation, review, and approval of Delta TechOps MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) services contracts, including vendor supply agreements, consignment agreements, repair and overhaul agreements, license agreements, and other agreements necessary to support the business. The Manager will have a team of 1-2 people to support these efforts. This role will also incorporate responsibilities related to U.S. Government and military contracting, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and prime contract requirements for commercial derivative military aircraft (CDMA) programs. The Manager will operate under the authority of the Delta Law Department, complying with defined contract standards and will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex contractual issues.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Aviation ContractsDevelop and maintain standard agreement templates in collaboration with Delta Law DepartmentSupport time-sensitive negotiations for MRO agreements and ensure timely contract development Identify and mitigate high-risk provisions; negotiate modifications where appropriateGovernment & Military ContractingDraft, review, and negotiate subcontracts ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and prime contract obligations.Perform pre-award risk assessments on bid proposals for government and military programs.Interpret prime contract requirements and advise on subcontractor obligations under federal regulations.Ensure proper flow-down of prime contract terms and compliance with regulatory standards.Compliance & Risk ManagementProvide legal and contractual guidance to internal teams to minimize exposureMaintain comprehensive records of negotiated positions and compliance actionsMaintain electronic database of all contracts in Salesforce, Ariba and other enterprise tools

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required4–7 years of contracts-related experience, preferably in aviation industryAbility to communicate with executives and stakeholders on contract status and negotiationsAbility to synthesize and summarize complex issues for escalation to executive leadershipExceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skillsProficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce; experience with SAP Ariba preferredDemonstrates Delta’s core values of integrity, respect, and perseveranceMust be performing satisfactorily in current positionConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
