Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Program Manager 3 (Program Integration Lead) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on our Strike Program. This leadership opportunity will be located at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.

We’re in need of a motivated and adaptable individual to support our leadership team as a Business Area Operations/Integration Lead. The successful candidate will represent and lead the Flight Test Program Integration Team (PIT) supporting the business area and ensuring proactive vertical integration across the business area. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to PIT staff through coaching, mentoring, and other staff development approaches.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and clear instructions to members of the team responsible for the execution of task orders.
  • Providing strategies and direction of all technical areas within the scope of the contract.
  • Direct all phases of the program from inception through completion including cost, schedule and technical performance of each task.
  • Communicates program vision across multiple tasks to ensure outstanding tactical and operational execution of the program.
  • Assist with quality, innovation, resource management, etc., to drive efficiencies while demonstrating compliance with corporate management standards.
  • Ensures senior management is engaged and familiar with task order area direction.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for program integration activities while cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop opportunities
  • Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
  • Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
  • Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.
  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule and at or under cost.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting customer needs, building strong relationships with strategic partners and guiding program teams and support functions to take action to satisfy customer expectations
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years) and be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current/Active Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Three+ years of personnel management and development experience with demonstrated success leading and growing teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.
  • Experience managing program/projects of > $20 Million / year with P&L responsibilities
  • Experience with Program Operations, Data Analytics, infrastructure management
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager
  • Experience with EVMS
  • Certified by Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
Salary Range: $180,000 - $271,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
