As a M&A Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving Honeywells growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions. You will be responsible for identifying potential acquisition targets, conducting financial analysis, performing due diligence, negotiating deals, and integrating acquired companies into Honeywells operations.
You will report directly to our Senior Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact strategic growth, financial performance, risk management, valuation, due diligence, legal compliance, integration planning, stakeholder relations, spanet and competitive analysis, deal execution, post-merger performance monitoring, long-term strategy, and shareholder value. Your role is instrumental in shaping the organizations M&A strategy, ensuring that deals align with its goals and contribute to its long-term success.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive end-to-end execution of complex M&A transactions, including detailed due diligence, development of valuation models, and identification of potential synergies
- Development of valuation models, ensuring accuracy in synergy identification and risk assessment
- Support strategic business units (SBUs) in reviewing the spanet landscape, maintaining the acquisition funnel, and performing initial evaluations of priority targets
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g. Legal, HR, Finance) during the due diligence process to ensure all risks and opportunities are identified and documented
- Partner with executive leadership on portfolio evaluation, which may include leading divestiture strategies
- Support in the preparation of internal investment memos and spaneting materials for executive leadership and the M&A approval process
- Provide analytical data and research to support leadership during deal negotiations and the review of transaction documentation
- Collaborate in the roll-out of the new Honeywell Aerospace standalone M&A team; ensure efficient execution as an independent public company
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Financial Analysis
- Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions processes and best practices
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and perform valuation analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, strong research skills

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Ideal candidates will be self-starters, have strong financial analysis and transaction execution skills, including robust valuation expertise, acquisition and due diligence experience, and the ability to collaborate across multiple groups in a rapidly changing business environment
- Ability to engage constructively with SBUs to test assumptions and gain full understanding of strategy and business/operational implications of key valuation drivers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment with frequent interaction with CEO and CFO, SVP of Global M&A and SBU Presidents
- Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills
