Job Title: Lead Aircraft Refueler / Lead Line Service Technician - $27-30/hour DOE - MUST have airport ground crew management experience clearly listed on resume.

Job Overview:
- The Lead oversees the daily operations of a flight training facility and ensures the smooth operation of aircraft ground services.
- This role involves ensuring aircraft maintenance and safety compliance.
- Duties primarily focus on fueling aircraft but also include assisting with aircraft maintenance, equipment operation, and support for other departments.
- Additionally, the lead maintains regulatory compliance, and liaises with aviation authorities.
- Effective communication, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of aviation regulations are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely refuel aircraft and perform routine services (oil refills, washing, pre-flight inspections).
- Support A&P mechanics with basic maintenance tasks, including tire changes and general upkeep of the shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance hangar.
- Take on leadership roles and collaborate with other departments (ramp operations, baggage handling, customer service).
- Operate company vehicles (fuel trucks, tugs) and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement training programs and maintain regulatory compliance.
Essential Skills:
- Leadership qualities with strong organizational skills to keep the shop tidy and efficient
- Clean driving record with the ability to operate heavy equipment (fuel trucks, tugs, etc.)
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours as needed
- Strong interest in aircraft maintenance with potential to move into the maintenance department
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to climb up/down a 12-foot ladder multiple times a day
Work Environment:
- You will be working in a hangar with 50 planes on site, mainly outdoors. The team consists of 5 members.
- The dress code includes jeans or work pants, closed-toed shoes, and appropriate outerwear such as t-shirts, jackets, and beanies during cold weather.
- The shift is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with the requirement to work some weekends.
- The culture is laid-back, focusing on doing your job accurately and safely.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
