The Afterspanet Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Team Lead for 1st Shift. Shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM.
This site employs 200+ employees.
PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility.
Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training.
Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
What You Will Do:
- Assist Cell Leader with supervision of personnel and department activities across all buildings on campus.
- Manages, coordinates, and ensures that short and long-term goals given by the supervisor are completed on schedule.
- Communicate daily, weekly and monthly requirements across the shift and take proactive measures to ensure that these requirements are being met.
- Report any maintenance issues which need further attention to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain Priority Boards and coordinate/utilize resources daily to meet customer commitments.
- Perform operations within skill-set (i.e. blend, weld, machining, etc.).
- Resolve operational, quality, maintenance, resources issues as needed.
- Notify other shifts of problems encountered and work together to solve issues.
- Assist with employee training and cross-training.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Participate in non-conforming investigations and DAISE’s, as necessary.
- Maintain clean work environment.
- Product knowledge required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Requires 18 months of aerospace case repair experience per FAA regulations.
- Ability to operate equipment and machinery of skill-set.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Technical trade experience preferred.
- Willing to work overtime and help cover absences, as needed, from a Team Lead perspective.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Computer/keyboarding proficiency.
- Safe work practices.
- Microsoft O365 software (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc)
