The Operations Supervisor – Jetpak (Tobago) will report to the Head of Courier Services. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations, providing leadership and support, delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring efficient processes to maximize overall productivity. He/she will also coordinate logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing the relevant documentation.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
- Customer Service: Provides oversight and constant engagement to ensure customer service KPIs are continuously achieved, and compliance is met 90 of the time. Prompt investigation into matters by providing initial acknowledgement of all internal and external queries within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt, to facilitate excellent service delivery.
- People Management: Coaches/ counsels customer service agents about excellent customer service to internal and external customers and ensures monthly communication meetings with staff.
- Warehouse improvement - Optimizes Warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization. Recommends measures to improve the quality of service, increase the efficiency of the Department, work crew and equipment performance.
- Continuous improvement: Supports the development of a culture of constant improvement by continuously measuring the internal and external factors and develops new and efficient ways to drive business opportunities daily.
- Safety: Actively supports the advancement of the organization’s safety culture, by ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
- Operational Effectiveness- Identify deficiencies, make suggestions for corrective action, monitor the response and measure the result of training initiatives.
- Policy Compliance: Ensures compliance with all legislative and operational policy requirements.
- Reporting: Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Candidates MUST reside in Tobago.
You are required to have a minimum of a Diploma in Logistics Management, Business Management or Administration or equivalent qualification, with at least five (5) years’ experience in a logistics environment, three (3) of which should have been in a supervisory role. You should have working knowledge of warehouse equipment as well as experience with a Warehouse Management system. You are required to be proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
