As an Intellectual Property Portfolio Manager, you will harness the power of intellectual property in service of the overall objectives of the company. You will collaborate with select business units on a daily basis to address their risks and maximize the value of their intellectual assets. Key responsibilities
u2022 Lead training and awareness campaigns.
u2022 Conduct landscape and clearance assessments.
u2022 Coordinate efforts to harvest and protect high-value intellectual assets.
u2022 Review intellectual property clauses in contracts.
u2022 Monitor relevant markets for third-party infringement.
u2022 Review third-party allegations of infringement.
u2022 Review drafts of technical documents to prevent harmful disclosures.
u2022 Provide support for M&A due diligence.
u2022 Manage intellectual property expenses for cost-effectiveness.
u2022 Develop and implement strategies to improve the operation of the department.
Requirements
u2022 Bachelors degree in engineering or in one of the following fields: electrical engineering, computer science or mechanical engineering.
u2022 3 to 5 years of experience in patent management.
u2022 Working knowledge of patent search tools.
u2022 Attention to detail coupled with the ability to synthesize complex information.
u2022 Excellent verbal, and written communication skills (French and English).
u2022 Team player adept at building strong relationships with stakeholders.
u2022 Effective at managing workloads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
