GE Aerospace Defense & Systems is recruiting summer associates for a 10-week internship. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated individual interested in learning more about Contracts Management & Government Property. The selected candidate will receive education and exposure to a variety of disciplines of contracts, including risk mitigation strategies, negotiation skills and strategies, and understanding Government regulations, as required.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include the following:
Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including regular interfacing with customers, leading negotiations, and assisting with contract interpretation all while ensuring compliance to GE policies and Government regulations
Collaborate cross functionally with the Manufacturing, Program Management, Finance, Sales, Property, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Legal teams
Provide support to managers and senior contract personnel on assigned contracts
May perform as part of a team for special projects
Actively listen to internal and external sources and propose solutions to maximize our impact and deliver on our commitments
Review processes and suggest improvement to ensure overall efficiency within the context of lean
Qualifications/Requirements
Majors: Business Administration, Economics or related
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding
Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in Business Administration, or related
Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primarily locations are Cincinnati, OH or Lynn, MA
Fluency in English (written and oral)
Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available

Benefits
Pay rates for this position begin at $18.25/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed. Relocation support and housing assistance is available for those who relocate to a new city.
